Több, mint százan gyűltek össze Karácsfalván az egyháztanácstagok lelki napjára február második szombatján.
Az eseményen a Beregszászi Esperesi Kerület szinte összes parókiája képviseltette magát, nem egy leányegyházközségei kíséretében. Az idei találkozó előadója Szabó Konstantin atya volt, aki 35 éves papi szolgálata tapasztalatait osztotta meg a jelenlévőkkel.
A délelőtt programja két előadást foglalt magába. Ezek témáját szentírási, illetve liturgikus szövegekre alapozta Konstantin atya. Az előadások között hosszabb szünetek biztosították a lehetőséget, hogy a megjelentek kicserélhessék egymás közt tapasztalataikat. A beszélgetés ebéd közben is folyt, hogy aztán a nap második felében konkrét kérdések hangozzanak el az előadó és a jelen lévő papság felé az egyháztanácstagokat foglalkoztató gyakorlati feladatok kapcsán. A délutáni diskurzus sokféle témát tárgyalt, amelyeket részben a hívek, részben a papok vetettek fel.
Az eseményt Szent Liturgia zárta, amelyen részt vettek a híveket kísérő parókusok is. Záró elmélkedésében Konstantin atya a 13. zsoltárra alapozva bátorította a résztvevőket, hogy a remény magvait vihessék magukkal, hogy igenis vannak még, akik őrzik a hitet a Földön.
Az esperesi kerület legközelebb az idősek és egyedülállók lelkigyakorlatára várja a jelentkezőket, amelyet szintén Karácsfalván rendeznek majd február 22-én.

More than a hundred people gathered in Karachyn for the spiritual day of the church council members on the second Saturday of February. Almost all the parishes of the Beregovo Episcopal District were represented at the event, many of them accompanied by the representatives of their filial communities.
The speaker of this year's meeting was Father Konstantin Szabó, who shared the experiences of his 35 years of priestly service.
The morning program included two lectures. Father Konstantin based the topics on scriptural and liturgical texts.
Longer breaks between the lectures provided the opportunity for the participants to exchange their experiences with each other.
The conversation continued during lunch, so that in the second half of the day, specific questions could be raised to the speaker and the clergy present regarding the practical tasks of the church council members. The afternoon discourse discussed a variety of topics, which were raised partly by the faithful and partly by the priests.
The event was closed by the Holy Liturgy, which was celebrated by the parish priests of the participating communities. In his closing reflection, Father Konstantin, based on Psalm 13, encouraged the faithful to take with them the seeds of hope saying: “There are still those who preserve the faith on Earth.”
The episcopal district of Beregovo is waiting for applicants for the next spiritual retreat which is organized for the elderly and singles and will also be held in Karachyn on February 22.
